Celtic The end is near

-

Sometimes a game is just so absorbing that the end result doesn’t really matter. You’re just glad that you witnessed it. There are two ends of the spectrum regarding that type of game.

One is the reckless runaway train that hurtles from end to end as both teams slog it out. Like the second half against astana. a game that was more schoolboy than Champions League.

Or like Saturday when a magnificent run looked like it would end due to a horrendous mistake, some heroic defending and stout organisation (by St Johnstone), despite the effort, commitment and an onslaught by ourselves. Our run will end – we know that is coming, and Saturday’s first-half Euro hangover is a taste of how it may come. Whatever happens we can’t fault our players’ endeavour.
