Dundee Striker wanted
It’s a cliché, but the international break really has come at a good time for Dundee. A hardearned point against Hibs, gained despite the lack of a proper striker and in no small part thanks to Scott Bain’s goalkeeping heroics, has dragged us off the bottom of the table and overcome the psychological barrier of having a big fat zero next to our name.
The break gives those players crocked or carrying an injury (which includes five centrebacks and three strikers) time to recover ahead of the Rangers game. Neil Mccann’s focus now must be making the most of the transfer window, to shed excess baggage and to plug a few gaps that have emerged; we desperately need at least one striker, but some competition up and down our left-hand side would be welcome too.
