How to get in­volved in Sleep in the Park

In­di­vid­u­als and com­pa­nies can sign up from to­day to sup­port Sleep in the Park.

A min­i­mum do­na­tion of £100 is needed for any­one to par­tic­i­pate in the sleep-out and watch the per­for­mances by Liam Gal­lagher, Amy Mac­don­ald, Dea­con Blue and Fright­ened Rab­bit.

The first 3,500 peo­ple to pledge £1,000 will get ac­cess to the “in­ner cir­cle” at the Ross Band­stand, which will of­fer the best view of the per­for­mances. They are also promised “a bed­time story from John Cleese” spe­cially writ­ten for the event, plus a morn­ing ba­con roll, which Rob Bry­don will be serv­ing up with the help of Scot­tish Gov­ern­ment min­is­ters.

The top ten in­di­vid­ual fundrais­ers will also be pre­sented with a per­sonal Christ­mas ham­per by First Min­is­ter Ni­cola Stur­geon and will get the chance to meet Sir Bob Geldof at the event, while the lead­ing fundraiser will also be able to meet one of the mu­si­cal acts.

Cor­po­rate teams must com­mit £3,000 for five places at Sleep in the Park. This will in­clude seats at a lunch ear­lier in the day which is be­ing cre­ated by Miche­lin-starred chef Martin Wishart and will also fea­ture a Q&A ses­sion with Cleese and Bry­don.
