Man dies after motorcycle and van collide

A motorcyclist has died in a collision with a van near Dundee.

The crash happened on the A923 Coupar Angus Road on Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to the area at about 12:30pm following reports of the collision. Police say the motorcyclist died at the scene.

The road was still closed last night at Muirhead and Piperdam to allow crash investigators to examine the scene. Diversions are also in place.

Police have not yet identified the man but have told his next of kin and are appealing for witnesses.
