Kezia Dugdale’s shock resignation as leader of the Scottish Labour Party was described yesterday as a ‘bolt from the blue’. Opinion was divided over her decision to step down. @Jennygilruth said: “Dignified, compassionate & principled. PS @kezdugdale, are you now free to wash the dishes?” @Ed_miliband said: “@kezdugdale: you gave your heart and soul to leading Scottish Labour. Thank you. You deserve to get your life back. SOCIAL BITE

Josh Littlejohn, founder of charitable sandwich bar enterprise Social Bite, announced a new initiative yesterday. Named Sleep in the Park, it is hoped up to 9,000 people will take part in the Edinburgh event this December. A host of stars, including Liam Gallagher and Bob Geldof, will support the project. @Heatherpeebles said: “HUGE news from the heroes @Socialbite_. There’s no stopping them!
