Forth failure

-

If the idea of the new Queensferry Crossing was to relieve the traffic jam on the two sides of the Forth bridges, it has failed miserably on the first day. Going to Edinburgh Airport to pick up somebody at 7am from Fife yesterday resulted in my time being wasted each way.

The queue on return at 9.15am extended to the M90 and Dalgety Bay on both sides. Closing the Forth Road Bridge was not necessary for the working travellers – sightseers could have been directed to the Queensferry Crossing.
