Queen of the South Quality start

With last season still fresh in the memory, noone is getting too carried away with our promising start to the league campaign. However, we are playing well.

The defence not only look solid, but also contribute at the other end, and a forward line featuring Derek Lyle and Stephen Dobbie is always going to produce goals. Perhaps most pleasing, the midfield which most expected to be workmanlike at best, are showing touches of real quality. A cynic would say that home wins over the two part-time teams, and an away victory over a Falkirk side in disarray should be expected. While there is a lot of truth in that, plenty of Queens teams in the past have failed to take advantage of these favourable circumstances.
