Former Bairn Biabi joins Hamilton

Kylian Mbappe has joined Paris St Germain from Monaco, thetwoclubshaveannounced.

The 18-year-old France striker moves on an initial seasonlong loan deal with an option for PSG to buy him outright next summer. The agreement, which came just hours before France’s World Cup qualifier against Holland, brings to an end one of the summer’s longest-running transfer sagas.

PSG, having already signed Neymar from Barcelona for £200.6 million this summer, insisted on the initial loan season so as not to fall foul of Uefa’s Financial Fair Play regulations. Monaco were pushing for an obligation on PSG’S part to complete the transfer next summer, in order to have certainty over a reported fee of €180m (£166m), but when the deal was announced it was phrased as an option to buy. Providing the permanent purchase goes through without a hitch next year, it will be the second-most expensive in football history behind the Neymar move. Hamilton have recruited Swansea’s former Scotland Under-19 forward Botti Biabi on a loan deal until January.

Biabi, 21, came through the ranks at Falkirk and won a £150,000 move to Wales back in 2015 – but has yet to make his Swans first-team breakthrough.

Accies have also signed 19-year-old striker Paolo Buzzi on loan from Italian Serie B side Monza for their under-20s squad.
