Design work for new river crossing begins
Work has begun on detailed plans for a 6km link road connecting the A9 to the A93 and A94 by way of a third crossing over the River Tay.
The £113 million Cross Tay Link Road will involve realigning existing roads to better connect the north of Scone and ease congestion. The early planning work is being undertaken by Sweco.
Perth and Kinross Council has already selected a preferred route for the key infrastructure link, which is expected to open up new residential and employment opportunities across the city.
