Robertson’s carves out supply deal with Aldi

Ayrshire-based Robertson’s Fine Foods has secured a £625,000 contract to supply Scottish Aldi branches with a range of pork sausages and chipolatas.

The products, which will hit the shelves of all 75 Aldi stores in Scotland, are made using specially selected pork approved by the Scottish SPCA.

Barry Robertson, business developmen­t manager at Robertson’s, said: “For five generation­s our family business has upheld a local Ayrshire tradition of producing the very best Scottish pork products.”

Graham Nicolson, group buying director for Aldi in Scotland, added: “We work with the best producers in Scotland and aim to build long-term partnershi­ps.”
