USP Life’s a beach

-

The property market doesn’t often throw up chances to buy a movie star but New Aberdour Beach near Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire, which has just been launched on the market, served as the location for scenes from the recently released remake of Whisky Galore.

Renowned for being one of Aberdeenshire’s most beautiful beaches, it is a hive of activity and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Just over 36 acres is for sale including dramatic rocks, caves, sandy and shingle beaches which attract a wide variety of wildlife and birds. The acreage includes fields leading down to the beach and is offered either together or separately with the nearby Mill Farm farmhouse and steading.

The two together form an interesting development opportunity for a tourism business.

While the beach isn’t private, there is a fair bit of land which could provide a setting for a coastal business, such as a campsite or surf school. The traditional Victorian farmhouse is in need of refurbishment and the detached steadings could be converted to provide holiday accommodation, but the beach needs no improvement.

New Aberdour Beach is priced at offers over £90,000, while the four-bedroomed farmhouse and steading is priced at offers over £185,000.
