First look into landmark Glasgow development

Certainly some developments are in such a high-profile location that the opening of a showhome creates a bit of a stir.

This week saw the opening of a townhouse showhome in the heart of Glasgow’s West End.

David Wilson Homes is launching the four-storey townhouse at its Botanics development on the site of the former headquarters of the BBC.

And given the sought-after spot in the city, the launch is likely to attract attention from buyers, and perhaps those who just want a look at the interiors of some of the city’s most prestigious new homes.

It is certainly an enviable address. The location is at the top of Byres Road in the city, just off Great Western Road. As such, the bars, boutiques and restaurants of the fashionable West End are right on the doorstep, but there is also plenty of greenery for what is essentially a central city location.
