Ex-international footballer faces jail sentence

-

A former international football player faces being sent to prison after carrying out a robbery at a branch of Greggs.

Andrew Shaw took away charity cash from the bakery shop in the latest of a series of thefts to support his drug habit.

Ex-scotland and Hearts youth player Shaw admitted the thefts at Greggs when he appeared in the dock at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday.

Shaw, 30, from Perth, said that he took a charity container of cash from Greggs in St Catherine’s retail park in Perth on 25 November last year.
