Tuilagi set to miss England autumn Tests
Leicester centre Manu Tuilagi has been hit by another injury blow which looks certain to sideline him from England’s autumn Tests.
Leicester said that Tuilagi will have surgery and faces an estimated 12 weeks’ recovery time after suffering a knee strain in Tigers’ Premiership opener against Bath four days ago.
It was his first Premiership appearance for eight months after recovering from knee trouble.
England kick off their autumn series against Argentina on 11 November, with Tuilagi having not started a Test since 2014 due to repeated injury setback, the latest being a strained meniscus in his left knee. England also face Australia and Samoa.
