Mccann willing to take risks as he vows that Dundee will ‘have a go’ at Ibrox

-

Neil Mccann has promised to “have a go” when he takes his Dundee team to face his old club Rangers.

The former Scotland winger believes there will be chances for Dundee to hurt Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday.

Mccann said: “I am not going with any fear. I am not going to park the bus either. I hate that saying but if anyone thinks Dundee are coming to Ibrox to camp in, we are not.

“At times we will be compact and we will defend with numbers when we need to and respect the opposition because they have real talent that can hurt you. But we are coming to have a go.”

Rangers have taken one point from their opening two home Ladbrokes Premiership games and Mccann feels Pedro Caixinha’s approach could leave opportunities at the other end.

“He’s a passionate guy, that’s infectious,” Mccann said. “He is a forward-thinking coach, he is quite aggressive with Rangers’ play and quite open, and with that, it leaves gaps.

“That’s what I am looking at. I am going to go there as a manager that is prepared to play attractive football and take risks when we have the ball.”

0 Neil Mccann: No fear.
