Drugs and air weapons found in police raid

Drugs with a potential value of £9,000 have been recovered in Lochaber.

Police found herbal and resin cannabis on Saturday following a search of a property in the Kinlochleven area.

Unlicensed air weapons were also recovered during the operation.

A 51-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the incident and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

Inspector Isla Campbell said: “Our communities have made it very clear they will not tolerate the trade in controlled drugs.”
