Trinity confirms Express talks

The publisher of the Daily Mirror and Daily Record newspapers is in talks to acquire 100 per cent of Daily Express group Northern & Shell.

Trinity said yesterday that it has “ceased discussions to acquire a minority stake” and is instead in talks to buy the publisher in its entirety. It is the second time in two years that it has opened talks with Northern & Shell.
