Unexploded device near oil platform
An unexploded military device has reportedly been found close to a North Sea oil platform.
The object, thought to be an anti-submarine device, was said to have been discovered last month following a routine inspection of pipelines in the Strathspey field. and an exclusion zone has been set up.
It is on the seabed around 130 metres from the Ninian Central Platform, but is not said to pose a hazard. Canadian Natural Resources, which runs Ninian Central, confirmed it was still operational.
