Loans fund hits £1m milestone

The Scottish Microfinance Fund (SMF), set up with support from the Scottish Government to help small firms access finance, has lent the first £1 million of its £6m funding pot.

The loans, at an interest rate of 6 per cent, are aimed at helping create more jobs and support entrepreneurship across the country.
