Four arrested after £50k of heroin seized

Four people have been arrested and £50,000 of heroin seized by police.

The discovery, which also included a large sum of cash, was made near Dumfries on Monday. Officers said two men, aged 71 and 41, and a 35-year-old woman were arrested in Dumfries.

A 43-year-old man from Paisley was also arrested and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland report that they seized heroin with a value of around £50,000 and a large quantity of cash near Dumfries on Monday September 11.”
