Yesterday marked ten years to the day since striker James Mcfadden scored a legendary goal against France in Paris, sealing a 1-0 win in a Euro 2008 qualifier that is still regarded one of the best result in Scotland’s footballing history. @Achnabreck tweeted: “10 years on, still a magnificent goal. James Mcfadden. Paris. ‘Pick it out, Landreau...’” @Colingpaterson added: “10 years ago today was possibly the happiest I have ever been due to sport. France 0 Scotland 1. Thank you James Mcfadden.” @Bluebuddie33 claimed: “That James Mcfadden goal is the most iconic moment in Scottish history, never mind Rabbie Burns or Robert the Bruce.” @Dennynews wrote: “A decade on, it still thrills me to say I was behind the goals for James Mcfadden’s wonder strike in Paris.”

#REPEALBILL

MPS in Westminster backed the EU Withdrawal Bill, which Ministers say is essential for ensuring a smooth Brexit transitions but which opponents, including Nicola Sturgeon, cast as a ‘power grab’ by the Tories. @J_amesp wrote: “It’s time for some home truths, Britain: 1) May’s going to walk out with no deal. 2) The Repeal Bill will pass. 3) You’ve all been had.” @Keria_chirchill claimed: “The “great repeal bill” is not to transfer EU law into UK law. The goal is to transfer legislative power from Parliament to the executive.” @Polnyypesets argued: “MPS who vote for the #Repealbill, handing unlimited power to Government, should ask themselves what further purpose they serve. And resign.”

Apple launched their latest product – the tenth anniversary edition ‘iphone X” which has been lauded by many for its technical advances, but criticised for its expected high cost. @Mikepattinson said: “Apple’s new iphone X is apparently going to cost more than a grand. For that money I’d expect airplane mode to take me on a return flight.” @Hellomcqueen tweeted: “New iphone estimated to cost £70/month. Put it into a pension from age 20 and that’s £100k at retirement. Take that, Apple!” @Deiondre5 said: “When your iphone starts acting up, that’s how you know they are about to drop a new iphone.”
