Murrayfield streets ahead

-

Thanks to the inability of Hearts to order seats for their stand I’ve now had the pleasure of watching football at both Hampden and Murrayfield in the space of a week. (Un)fortunately, both were not at their full capacity so I feel I can make a fair comparison between the two and, compared to Hampden, Murrayfield was a much better experience.

There were a few issues with catering, but access to and from the stadium and the atmosphere were streets ahead of Monday’s Scotland v Malta game.

With the lease on the national football stadium coming up for discussion the authorities should think long and hard as to the best options for our international matches as our colleagues in rugby have a stadium worthy of real consideration.
