Smith wary of ‘well-organised’ Queen’s Park

- By CRAIG P STEWART

Table-topping Raith Rovers visit Queen’s Park for the first time since clinching the Division 2 title at Hampden in May 2009, with manager Barry Smith cooling talk of another championship success.

Smith said: “We should be confident of having a good season after the start we have made and coming back from a goal down to beat Ayr last weekend. However, there is a long way to go and Queen’s Park will be well organised and boosted by winning at East Fife last weekend.”

Second-placed Ayr look for their first win in four games at home to Alloa and manager Ian Mccall, far from down-heartened, said: “We played well at Stark’s Park and deserved more, so we can look forward to this game.”

As Albion Rovers bid to break their home duck against Stranraer manager Brian Kerr said: “We have scored 11 times in away games and we want to bring that form to home matches.”

Forfar host Arbroath with Loons boss Gary Bollan looking to move off the foot of the table. He said: “Derby games always have an edge. A win puts us in the pack of clubs just outside of the top four.”

As East Fife visit Airdrie manager Darren Young, looking for a ruthless display, said: “Firing blanks has beenaconstantthemeandit is time to put it right.”
