Police probe into suspicious blaze at Lothian pub

Police in West Lothian are appealing for witnesses following a suspicious fire at a licensed premises in Whitburn.

The Clachan Bar on West Main Street was broken into at around 5:45am on Saturday, and a fire was set inside, causing damage.

Officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their enquiries to come forward.

Detective Constable Barry Carlin of Livingston CID said: “We are still trying to establish the full circumstan­ces surroundin­g this wilful fireraisin­g but thankfully no-one was injured as a result.”
