A Scottish secondary school teacher has written an open letter to Nicola Sturgeon in which he describes Scotland’s education system as ‘utterly broken’

-

Please please let’s hear the standard Sturgeon response to people telling her things she doesn’t want to hear. I can see it now - she’ll be standing there in Holyrood. “I’ll take no lessons from Scottish teachers...” – Spooky I wish the armchair critics would actually make positive proposals we could discuss sensibly. Just moaning contributes little or nothing. And just slagging off your political opponents is even worse, making YOU a big part of the problem. Come on people, if you care so much, give us your IDEAS. –Nicke I would have liked to see the Scottish Government’s reply being something like “The FM would like to meet you and some of your colleagues, at the earliest opportunity, to listen and discuss the very serious points you have raised”. Rather than the drivel given. – Basking Shark That would amount to a tacit admission there was something wrong. Our FM is incapable of this. – Honeysuckle
