Two arrested over £500k drug seizure

Two men have been arrested after police seized almost £500,000 worth of drugs.

They recovered 60 kilos of cannabis resin from a car which they stopped in Argyle Street, Glasgow, at about 3:15pm on Wednesday.

A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure. At about 7pm the same day, officers acting under warrant searched a property in North Street, Paisley, and recovered about 115 kilos of cannabis resin. Police said a 39-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the recovery.
