Global construction services company ISG has boosted its number of high-profile office projects in Edinburgh after securing an £8 million contract for a Scottish property specialist in the city.

The building in St Andrew Square, formerly known as Edinburgh House, was bought by Knight Property Group in April last year, with plans to radically redevelop it.

ISG said it would carry out an extensive refurbishment and complex reconfiguration of the eight-storey building to deliver more than 40,000 squarefeetofhigh-endoffices.

Andy Mclinden, regional managing director of ISG’S UK construction north and Scotland business, said demand for premium office space was outstripping supply in Edinburgh.

He added: “Smart reconfiguration solutions and architecturally sensitive extensions will continue to play an important role in satisfying the growing demand for space in our cities.”
