Python found near owner’s dead body

Police are investigating the death of a man who was found dead with serious injuries with his pet snake reportedly nearby. Keen snake handler Dan Brandon, 31, died at his home in Church Crookham, Hampshire, on 25 August.

A Hampshire Police spokesman confirmed that officers were carrying out inquiries into the death on behalf of the coroner and that it was not being treated as suspicious.

Mr Brandon posted photos of himself on social media with his pets including a huge Burmese python.
