BP in ‘milestone’ Oman project

Oil major BP has fired the starting gun on a $16 billion (£12bn) gas extraction project in Oman.

The site is the largest BP project to get under way this year, with 200 wells being operated across the Khazzan gas field. Group chief executive Bob Dudley said: “The start of production… is an important milestone.”
