Two charged over alleged hare coursing

Two men have been charged over alleged hare coursing offences.

The men, aged 30 and 23, have also been charged in connection with various road traffic offences.

The offences happened between 16 and 18 June in the Rothienorm­an and Turriff areas of Aberdeensh­ire. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal and the men will appear in court later.

Police constable Graham Crawford said: “Hare coursing is a cruel activity which is not acceptable.

“We will fully investigat­e any reports that we receive.”
