Carry on cruising: Lerwick Harbour gears up for record season

Lerwick Harbour is on course for record cruise traffic next year, with advance bookings currently at the highest level ever. Almost 90 ships are scheduled to arrive between Marchandoctober,itemerged yesterday. The latest forecast was revealed after Norwegian Jade (whose sister ship Norwegian Jewel is pictured above) arrived for the fourth time this year at the Shetland port, with more than 2,300 passengers on board, en route from Southampton to Reykjavik, Iceland, on an 11-day Transatlantic voyage to New York.
