Call for joint Stirlingsh­ire developmen­t to go ahead

Two Scottish businesses working to deliver 600 homes and a £20 millionplu­s national dairy centre say they see their joint project supporting Scotland’s renewed economic vision as they await a decision from Holyrood on their applicatio­n to proceed.

Graham’s the Family Dairy and Mactaggart & Mickel Homes claim their plans for a site in Stirlingsh­ire “would help alleviate Scotland’s housing shortfall, whilst also giving Scotland’s dairy industry a significan­t helping hand”, creating 400 jobs as well as 350 during the constructi­on phase.

Robertgrah­am,themanagin­g director of Graham’s the Family Dairy, said that the joint applicatio­n “is about investing in people, homes, research, education and infrastruc­ture to strengthen the Scottish economy.”

He added: “We know the massive benefits this proposal would deliver not only to Stirling but to Scotland as a whole and are hopeful that a positive decision on the applicatio­n will be made.”
