Jobs saved with sale of Granite City signage firm

- By SCOTT REID

An Aberdeen-based signage company has been sold out of administration in a move that saves 25 jobs.

Paul Dounis and Lindsey Copper of RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP were appointed joint administrators of Lofthus Signs and Engraving earlier this week.

Lofthus designs and creates bespoke signage for a range of businesses but following a difficult 18 months for the business, directors took the decision to enter administration.

Following the appointment of the joint administrators, the trade and certain assets of the business have been sold to a new company set up by Manchester-based PFI Group. The deal safeguards 25 jobs in Aberdeen.
