Inquiry over bid to impersonate SSPCA officers

-

Two people impersonated Scottish SPCA officers to gain access to a house in Livingston.

Police have appealed for information after the man and woman called at a woman’s address in Fernbank at about 11:30am on Wednesday claiming to be from the animal charity.

The woman let them in after they presented identification badges. But they left when she asked for an SSPCA reference number. The man was white, in his late 30s, 5ft 9ins tall and of stocky build. The woman was described as being of mixed race, 5ft 6ins tall, slim and with dark hair.
