Time for some passion, Theresa

The upcoming Conservative party conference may be many things, but it is not going to be the personality cult offering that was on show at Corbynite Labour this week. Theresa May doesn’t do charismatic, never mind messianic. If the Tories are lucky, she will turn in one of her trademark performances, certainly pregeneral election, of steely pragmatism.

Some passion would be timely and welcome, however.
