- By CRAIG P STEWART

Albion Rovers will look to clock up their first home points of the season and also become the first club to defeat leaders Raith Rovers when they meet in Coatbridge.

Brian Kerr’s side are fourth in the table thanks to majestic away form that has produced four victories with 16 goals scored, but playing at home has brought no rewards as yet.

The Cliftonhill boss said: “We are playing the side that is running away with things at the moment and it would be terrific to bring our away form to this game. We should not be fearful of Raith but view it as a chance to put things right.”

Second-placed Arbroath host Alloa, with manager Dick Campbell having no sleep problems after high-scoring wins at Forfar and Stranraer.

Campbell said: “The way we have been playing recently makes my job straightforward as picking the team is easy.”

Ayr look to strengthen their challenge by winning at home forthefirsttimeinthreegames when they face East Fife. Said manager Ian Mccall: “We did not play well at Queen’s Park last weekend but managed to get the three points and we needed that after a disappointing run.”

Forfar’s interim managers Stuart Balmer and Barry Sellars take their second game when Stranraer visit and they hope for better fortune after a 3-0 defeat by East Fife. Sellars said: “It was a day when, despite best intentions, nothing went in our favour. It is all about looking forward now.”

Airdrie have appointed under-20 boss Stevie Findlay as first-team coach and he starts his role against visitors Queen’s Park.
