Sam Ainsley

In two decades of teaching on Glasgow School of Art’s groundbreaking Environmental Art and MFA programmes, Sam Ainsley coached some of Scotland’s best known contemporary artists. Her first solo exhibition in Scotland for 30 years is a reminder that she is highly deserving of attention as an artist in her own right. This significant body of paintings shows a mature artist exploring landscape, nature, the human body, feminism and politics.
