Driver is killed after transit van crashes into wall
The driver of a white transit van was killed after his vehicle crashed into a wall.
The 54-year-old man was driving on Barochan Road in Johnstone when the vehicle collided with a wall shortly before 8pm.
Emergency services attended and the driver was taken by ambulance to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he was pronounced dead.
A young child, who was a passenger in the van, was uninjured.
Police are investigating a line of enquiry that the driver may have taken ill at the wheel. They have appealed for witnesses.
