Four hunted over alleged sectarian chant at march

Police are looking for four men after the alleged chanting of a sectarian song during an Orange Order march.

An investigation was launched after footage emerged of people singing the anti-irish “Famine Song” as the march passed through an area of Glasgow on 1 July.

Glasgowcitycouncilofficials later warned future parades could face greater restrictions or even prohibition. Around 4,500 people took part in the march, which celebrates Prince William of Orange’s victory over King James II at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690.
