The Circle goes digital with donation of computers from financial firm
Workspace hub gets 50 laptops from Johnston Carmichael as part of its community support
The Circle, a social enterprise based in Dundee, offers affordable workspace for charities, social enterprises and organisations.
Now,thankstoacharitabledonation sure to ensure a digital boost, the organisation has recently received 50 laptops from advisory comnpany Johnston Carmichel. Founded in 1936, Johnston Carmichael is one of the UK’S top 20 accountancy firms and is the PKF member firm in Scotland, a family of legally independent member firms with more than 400 offices, operating in 150 countries.
Committed to corporate social responsibility and engagement in charity fundraising, Johnston Carmichael is recognised as an employer of choice, with almost 700 staff and partners.
With 11 locations across Scotland, Johnston Carmichael is Scotland’s largest independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers, which makes this donation a key step in their commitment to local communities.
Euan Mcleod, partner in Johnston Carmichael’s Perth office and board member of The Circle, said: “We are thrilled to be able to donate these laptops.

The 50 laptops and docking stations will be put to good use in the affordable office space which provides a base for 16 tenants. Paul Hastie, manager of The Circle said: “This is a fantastic gesture from Johnston Carmichael.
“It’s going to be invaluable for us here as we are keen to offer digital skills workshops as part of a community engagement programme.
“These workshops will be on a range of topics including online security, computing for the elderly and digital skills for the workplace.”
