Teenager charged over alleged assault

A teenager has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was allegedly assaulted at a school in Aberdeenshire.

The boy was treated for a head injury following the incident at a secondary school at around 8:20am yesterday.

He was treated by ambulance crew at the scene and did not need to go to hospital. Police said a 16-yearold boy had been charged and would be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit. Sergeant Craig Johnstone said: “This was a contained incident between pupils at the school.”
