Bike shop cycles away with the accolades

One of the Scottish capital’s longest established bike stores, Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op in Bruntsfield, has just been voted Britain’s Best Bike Shop by the readers of Cycling Weekly.

“Wewereoverjoyedwhen it was announced that our shop was voted the best in Britain”, said Bike Co-op founder member, Ged Holmyard.

“We were especially amazed to learn that more than 21,000 people from all over the UK cast their vote in Cycling Weekly’s annual poll, yet our shop on Whitehouse Loan was the clear winner.”

Edinburgh Bicycle Coop’s Aberdeen shop was voted best in north-east Scotland, and the Newcastle branch best in northeast England.
