British trio reach finals

British trio Max Whitlock, Nile Wilson and Courtney Tulloch have all confirmed final places at the World Championships in Montreal.

The trio completed their routines on Monday but maintained qualification positions following the final sub-division phase at the Olympic Stadium yesterday.

Reigning world and Olympic champion Whitlock will go into Saturday’s pommel final as the highest-placed qualifier ahead of secondplaced Weng Hao of China.

European silver medallist Tulloch qualified in sixth place for the rings final also on Saturday - while Wilson was ranked eighth highest for the men’s allaround, which continues on Thursday.
