Hibernian Big stage set for Mcginn
Hibernian were fantastic at Celtic Park, and were arguably the better side – and though Celtic started with a weakened first 11, they were still able to call on Griffiths, Sinclair and Roberts from the bench, so nothing should detract from Hibs’ performance.
What probably did help us was their midweek away game in the Champions League and, of course, Celtic should have been awarded a penalty near the end. But a defeat would have been very harsh on the Hibees.
John Mcginn, who will be itching to start tomorrow at Hampden, epitomised Hibs’ attitude against Celtic. He is a player who relishes the big occasion, and the stage could be set for him to make an impact for Scotland.
