Brechin City More heartache

-

City were up against a high-flying St Mirren team full of confidence with numerous talented players. Most would’ve thought a “drubbing” was on the cards but what was witnessed was the complete opposite.

Before the Buddies opened the scoring on 14 minutes, Callum Mclennan saw his effort booted off the line. City, though, got their reward for hard work just before half-time when a Sinclair corner met the head of Orsi to bring it to 1–1. It was heartache again for Brechin as Dale Hilson popped up to score the winner, and the City players were left frustrated when their legitimate penalty claims were ignored by Gavin Duncan. Credit to the 70 travelling City fans, good to see everyone is sticking by the team.
