Dumbarton Sons sucker-punched

-

After equalising on Saturday with just 15 minutes to go, I thought there was only one place where the game was going. In the past, we’ve come from behind several times to win in Livingston and the game followed a similar pattern. Unfortunately this didn’t end up in a Sons win as it was the hosts who stole the late winner.

Tom Walsh put in his best performance yet for us. He gave the Livi defence a hard time and looked to be the player he was when with us two seasons ago. The Irn-bru Cup gives us a chance to rotate the squad slightly and get back to winning ways. We’ve been decent at home recently and getting to a quarter-final would surely be a big confidence boost. Stranraer have upset us in the past so we’ll need to be on top of our game.
