Morton Big miss

-

Saturday gave Morton fans an insight into what life could be like without Jai Quitongo, and it isn’t pretty.

Jim Duffy’s men fell to a stunning Joe Mckee free-kick–the24-year-oldcomingbacktohaunt his former side. It was the lack of attacking threat in the final third that caused great concern to the Ton faithful, though. Quitongo was ruled out through injury and his pace, strength and overall threat was certainly missed. In his place was Bob Mchugh and, eventually, Robert Thompson but neither could pull the Ton level.

Despite back-to-back defeats, the panic button hasn’t been pushed yet. It’s time for the managementteamandplayerstoreassesshowtheywill approach the next set of key league fixtures.
