Contract win for banknote maker

Banknote maker De La Rue has scored a ten-year contract with the Bank of England to supply the base material for the new polymer £20 note.

The firm is already poised to design and print the notes for the central bank, having done the same for the £5 and £10 plastic notes in recent months. The £20 note is set to be released from 2020.
