Man dies after crash on bridge

A man has died after a two-car crash on a bridge.

The incident happened on the B999 Pettymuick to Pitmedden Bridge, near Ellon in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services were called to the incident at around 4:45pm yesterday.

Officers at Police Scotland have confirmed that a man died following the collision.

They also said that the road was closed and diversions put in place so that a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident could be carried out.
