Shopping centre closed in stand-off
A man was been detained by police after a stand-off forced a shopping centre in Fife to go into lockdown.
Police were called to Glenwood Centre in Glenrothes after reports of a housebreaking and a male in possession of weapons at about 5:30pm at a residential address in Minto Street.
After three hours of “engagement” with officers a man left the property at 8:30pm and was detained by police. A man and woman were inside the flat during the incident but were not injured.
